Men's Night Recap
By: Manny Williams
There is a unique and special thing that happens when men gather together around the Gospel that forms their brotherhood. Last Tuesday evening the men at Redemption City enjoyed the fellowship of eating together, singing together, hearing the Word together, and praying together. It was an enjoyable, fun, encouraging, and memorable time.
Men’s Night provides a few great opportunities that we desire every man at RCC to experience. It’s a time and opportunity for men at RCC to get a chance to connect and hang out with guys they know and don’t know. It’s a time and opportunity that serves as a chance for new guys to come and connect with other guys and get plugged into the RCC Men’s ministry. The evenings also offer the opportunity to hear messages specifically pertaining to men. Each night is aimed to build relationships and worship together.
At our last Men’s Night, the things we desire to see happened. We shared food from a local favorite (BB’s Barbeque) and enjoyed great conversation with one another. We played our annual Community Cornhole tournament and got to see camaraderie and competitiveness. We had two raffle prize winners that won a gift card to BrickTops and a HCSB Study Bible! We sang songs together. There is nothing like having guys in a room boisterously singing off-key and on-key with each other! And lastly, we heard a timely and good word from Scotty Smith that left us with conviction and courage to walk humbly before the Lord and vulnerably before each other. We also had time of Q&A with Scotty. It was a fantastic and unforgettable evening.
Our next Men’s Night is scheduled for November 12th at 6 pm! Every man is welcomed! We wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on a fun time and a great opportunity to connect with other brothers at RCC and experience another great evening!
