What are groups?
Redemption City Groups are intentional gatherings of 10-15 people (on average) that meet together once a week in homes across Williamson County and the greater South Nashville area to study the Bible together, pray for each other, and build authentic community that encourages you and promotes a life of discipleship filled with “next steps” of faith on your life journey.
WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN A GROUP?
At Redemption City, we believe that discipleship happens in community. Essentially, this means that we were designed to live out our faith in relationships with others. When we purposefully surround ourselves with others who share the same desire to pursue a relationship with God, we will experience the life-changing power of the Gospel.

SMALL GROUP FAQ'S
What do Groups study?
In short, all Groups study the Bible, however Group leaders have options for how to do this. Most Groups utilize a church-wide, weekly sermon-based guide that seeks to continue the application of the sermon from the previous Sunday morning worship gathering. Other avenues for Bible study include expositional studies of a book of the Bible, utilizing a Bible-based discipleship book/curriculum, or walking through our church’s Bible reading plan.
Where do Groups meet?
Most Groups meet in host or leader homes around the greater South Nashville area. When choosing a Group, it is important to keep accessibility in mind and to try to find a Group closest to you. A map of general Group locations as well as a location description for each Group are made a available to help you determine Groups that are closest to you.
What types of Groups are there?
Groups are designated by several different categories such as gender and life-stage. These include men-only, women-only, men and women together (mixed), multigenerational, young professional, and adults with adult-age children. Group designations are listed in their description.
Why are there Group seasons?
As a part of a Group, you will be asked to authentically grow in relationships through fellowship and discipleship opportunities (Bible study and prayer). To encourage this, Groups enter open and closed seasons. Group leaders determine availability based on capacity or Group dynamics. Groups that are listed as “full” are closed at this time but may open up in the future. Seasons also offer intentional times to join and leave a Group as well as rest for leaders to prevent burnout.
