Our multiplication groups focus on passing on Christianity’s core truths in relational environments in a reproducible way. That’s why we pray that all of our people take the following seven steps with someone else at their own pace. The right books read in a relational environment with the hopes of reproducing that experience in others will change the world.
Step 1. Gospel
Prodigal God – Timothy Keller – In this book, Keller helps readers avoid the surprising confusion most people are unaware that they have about what the gospel is and what it is not. Readers will leave this book with a clear understanding of the gospel for themselves and, hopefully, be able to lead others through this book as well.
Step 2. Christianity
The Walk – Stephen Smallman – In this book, Smallman helps readers grasp the big picture of the Christian life that every person should understand and be able to teach others.
Step 3. Spiritual Disciplines
Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life – Donald Whitney – In this book, Whitney helps readers understand the key spiritual disciplines that should mark every Christians life in a way that will help readers teach others as well.
Step 4. Church Membership
I Am A Church Member – Thom Rainer – In this book, Rainer helps readers understand the key attitudinal disposition every Christian should understand in a way that will help readers experience themselves and teach these truths to others.
Step 5. Theology
Christian Beliefs – Wayne Grudem – In this book, Grudem introduces readers to the core theological beliefs that every Christian should understand, be able to articulate, and be able to pass on to others.
Step 6. Evangelism
Out of the Salt Shaker and Into the World – Rebecca Pippert – In this book, Pippert helps readers understand how to follow Jesus’ evangelistic command and pattern of living in a way that is accessible and easy to pass on to others.
Step 7. Finances
The Treasure Principle – Randy Alcorn – in this book, Alcorn helps readers grasp the key biblical truths that every Christian should understand about their finances in a way that can easily be understood and taught to others.
